On Thursday night, October 24, 2019, the Seminole Tribe of Florida debuted the latest addition to their Hard Rock empire; The Guitar Hotel at Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida. We were lucky enough to have received a VIP invitation to the event, and were left in awe of the entire ordeal. In one word, WOW.
I could write for days about the beauty of the property, that you must experience, but I think you'll enjoy this link to interior photos even more.
Quick background: The Seminoles have become what many Native American tribes aspire to become. By purchasing Hard Rock in 2007, the Seminole tribe instantly became a global leader in hospitality, branding and entertainment. Hard Rock & the Seminoles currently have a presence in over 74 countries! This includes 185 cafes, 25 hotels, and 12 casinos. It's worth your time to visit their website, www.semtribe.com and learn about their history, leadership and the great things they're doing for their people and employees throughout the world.
Back to the opening: The evening started with a VIP reception at the new pool complex (or I should say MEGA complex), and included special A-List guests such as Johnny Depp, Morgan Freeman, Joe Perry, Khloe Kardashian, Lord Scott Disick, Bella Thorne and many others. Food and drinks were served, while guests were treated to mermaids swimming throughout the pools, aerial gymnast performances around ever turn and even a local Torcedor hand rolling cigars!
To top it all off, in true Hard Rock fashion, Seminole Tribal Council members were joined by celebrities and Hard Rock executives to smash guitars to open the property! Who needs a gigantic pair of scissors and red ribbon, when you can smash a guitar in front of 2,000 excited VIP's?! Then, the entire building lit up and we were all mesmerized by the amazing light show that takes place on the building. See video below:
